"A Woman's Cries"--New Book of Caribbean Poetry
Posted
September 15th.2000
A Woman's Cries is a collection of poems composed by Tesser Archibald-Hazel of St Kitts that clearly demonstrates her passion for writing; a passion provoked by the harshness and cruelties of life. This collection, her first, explores such varying issues as life, love, injustice, socio-economic setbacks. According to Tesser, "I hope through these poems to contribute to changing the prevailing negative attitudes to women"
This is one of the most honest collection of poems I have read--full of cries, pleas, joy, hope, rebuke, rant, care, feelings, and Caribbean emotions. For a poet so young in the business, Tesser writes like a veteran.
Definitely a "must read"
